Jan's Bio

Jan grew up in Southern California in a small beach town, Ventura California. As she grew up she developed a love for the beach. She has been an artist since she was a child painting waves, islands and palm trees, all the while fantasizing about living in Hawaii. In her teens she lived in Oahu, but moved back to California to attend college. Jan likes her painting to reflect her love for the beach. Her moto is “happy art happy heart”. Jan has always been an accomplished swimmer. She loves to snorkel, surf and paddle board. She has a deep love for the nature and cares deeply about the environment. She tries to strive to be as green as possible, encourages recycling, and can be seen picking up trash on a regular basis, this is one of the reasons she was drawn to make sea glass jewelry. She is a member and supporter of the surf rider foundation. She hopes that her art will spread a message of Protecting the Ocean and our earth for future generations to enjoy.
